Behind the Lines has been favorably reviewed by the prestigious Kirkus Reviews.  Referring to the wartime correspondence that provided the impetus for the writing of this book, the reviewer writes: “Together, these letters paint a heartfelt picture of the work and worry that filled the lives of wartime families and the sacrifices they undertook for those they loved.  The author of the review further notes that ” [this] immersive book will appeal to fans of military memoirs and wartime literature, and it provides an important reminder that most military personnel don’t serve in combat roles.”  The review concludes that this is “a book that engagingly shines a light on the lives of a soldier and his loved ones.”
